[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On Friday, November 3rd, the band America played a concert at the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles, La.
America formed “ironically” in London England as a trio in 1970. The trio consisted of Dewey Bunnell, Gerry Beckley and Dan Peek. Peek left the band in 1977 while the group were still churning out hits. This is not a “one hit wonder” band at all. Bunnell and Beckley played most of thier hits such as, “Sister Golden Hair”, “Horse with no name”, “Tin Man”, “I need you”, “Ventura Highway”, “Woman Tonight”, “Lonely People”, “Sandman” and “You can do magic”.

They played songs off their first 3 albums and even played The Beatles “Eleanor Rigby”, possibly a salute to past America album producer George Martin?
Below is a video interview with the current America drummer Ryland Steen (formerly of ska legends Reel Big Fish)[/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”https://vimeo.com/241546196″][vc_masonry_media_grid element_width=”3″ grid_id=”vc_gid:1509987264038-95db342a-1069-3″ include=”629593,629594,629595,629596,629597,629598,629599,629600,629601,629602,629603,629604,629605,629606,629607,629608″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
