Empire of the Seed preserves older Lake Charles buildings for new uses and rents historic properties for weddings, galas and corporate events. Its holdings include the 1928 Calcasieu Marine Bank building and the nearby Cash & Carry building from about 1936, which host a farmers' market, art shows and weddings.
