The LCPD has and had a crime reporting online site for reporting and daily reports of crimes in the City.They stopped that site 15 months ago.They have a new system that was supposed to go online 1 year ago.Still no system on line.This will help us and law enforcement to solve some of these crimes.Somebody ask LCPD to get this online for us. ... I am a member of a few Neighborhood watches,I will post what I gather from those groups if allowed.It would helpful to form more forums to inform neighbors what is happening.Gotta watch what's going on.

You should go to this meeting and report your concerns about not having a crime mapping of real time crime in the neighborhood. CPSO SEARCHING FOR IDENTITY OF MAN RESPONSIBLE FOR THEFT

Lake Charles, LA –

On January 5 at approximately 10:00 p.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to Sam’s Cove in Westlake in reference to a theft.

When deputies arrived they learned a short time earlier, at approximately 9:30 p.m., an unknown man broke into a gaming machine, gaining access to the cash box located inside, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

Detectives were able to view surveillance footage at the business and obtained a photograph of the suspect. The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance in identifying the man seen in the photograph; anyone with information regarding the theft or the suspect shown is asked to call CPSO at 491-3605.

CPSO Detective Mike Conner is the lead investigator on this case.
