The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd is a stone Gothic Revival church on Kirkman Street, designed by Dallas architect C. W. Bulger, and home to the oldest Episcopal congregation in Lake Charles, founded in 1884. Its sandstone walls survived the 1918 hurricane and were reset by stonemasons. The parish's day school grew into Bishop Noland Day School.
