First United Methodist Church, known locally as Big Methodist, is a Gothic-inspired church complex on Kirkman Street with tall lancet windows, built about 1926 for a congregation founded in 1871. It offers contemporary and traditional Sunday worship, both streamed live, along with a preschool, choirs and handbell choirs.
