Rock N Roll Sushi, the Mobile-born American-style sushi chain, opens its first Lake Charles restaurant Monday, Nov. 2, at 4740 Nelson Road, with crawfish from Cottonport on the menu and an 11 a.m. ribbon cutting with the Chamber.
Rock N Roll Sushi opens its first Lake Charles restaurant on Monday, Nov. 2, at 4740 Nelson Road, Suite 210. The day starts with an 11 a.m. ribbon cutting with the Greater Lake Charles Chamber of Commerce, and the doors stay open until 10 p.m.
The chain calls its food American-style sushi: specialty rolls built around fried, spicy and sauced flavors rather than tradition, served in a dining room decorated with neon, guitars, microphones and music videos. The Lake Charles menu adds a Louisiana touch, with crawfish sourced from Cottonport, alongside appetizers, specialty rolls, hibachi and ramen. The house favorites are the VIP Roll and the Punk Rock Roll.
Food is such a big part of how people connect in Louisiana, and Lake Charles has a rich culinary heritage shaped by Cajun and Creole traditions. People here already have their favorite places and traditions when it comes to dining out, and we're offering something a little different with unexpected flavor combinations, music and atmosphere. We want every visit to leave guests with something new to look forward to the next time they stop by.
There is a full bar with specialty cocktails, beer and wine, and the restaurant caters group gatherings and offsite events. A larger opening celebration is planned, with details to come in the next few weeks.
A Gulf Coast chain's third Louisiana stop
Rock N Roll Sushi started in 2010 in a 1,000-square-foot space inside the Mobile Mall in Mobile, Alabama. It has since grown to more than 80 restaurants across the Southeast. Lake Charles is the 81st, and the third in Louisiana.
