A Calcasieu Parish Public Library card is free, and it gets you more than books: hotspots, laptops, printing, faxing and scanning, at 11 branches across the parish.
Card types
Full-service card
Borrow everything the library lends. Cards last 5 years and renew in person with a photo ID and proof of address.

Online-only card
E-books, audiobooks and databases without a trip to a branch. For ages 18 and older.
Temporary card
A 3-month card, for when you're here for a short stay.
Calcasieu Parish Public Library
The Central branch is the largest, open seven days a week. The Carnegie Memorial branch downtown is closed for renovation.
